Warp! (with Verneri Pohjola) SPECIAL EDITION

The group Warp!, lead by award winning keyboardist Aki Rissanen, released their album "One Note Stories" back in 2005 with Dps Records and received great reviews from critics both in Finland and abroad. Members of the group (trumpet maestro Verneri Pohjola and Aki Rissanen himself in the forefront) have since gone on to make an international career for themselves.

Eclipse Music is proud to re-release this gem of a record as a limited special edition. This edition includes the original album and a download coupon. The download consist of 11 bonus tracks, ranging from live versions of the album tracks, studio outtakes to previously unreleased songs.

Dramophone: Urban Ritual out on October 3rd

Perhaps better known for his drumming in Elifantree Tatu Rönkkö is tha mastermind behind this progressive jazz quartet. Dramophone's debut album Urbal Ritual is out in Finland on October 3rd. The release is supported by a tour. Along with mr. Rönkkö the group features Pauli Lyytinen (sax), Otto Eskelinen (bass clarinet) and Eero Tikkanen (bass).

Tapio Ylinen featured in Mike Oldfield's Tubular Bells remix contest

Tapio Ylinen is taking part in a remix contest by 70's prog-rock legend Mike Oldfield and Indaba Music.

Listen to Tapio's interpretation of Mike's classic Tubular Bells and please take 30 seconds of your time to vote. Voting has already started and ends on September 4th. The tracks with the most votes will receive special prizes and the winner is selected by mr. Oldfield himself.

Jazz releases this autumn: Dramophone and Ahava

Eclipse Music continues its series of high quality jazz releases.

Slo Motive (Kari Ikonen, Sanni Orasmaa, Mamba Assefa) releases its debut album in November, but before that we have two top releases in the works.

Dramophone is the latest project from Elifantree's drummer Tatu Rönkkö. The band's debut album is due out September 26th and supported by a series of concerts.

Ahava, fronted by jazz vocalist Mia Simanainen, is releasing a follow-up to their critically acclaimed debut from 2001. The album is due out in October and featuring the talents of Kari Ikonen, Sonny Heinilä, Mika Kallio and Ville Herrala.

Slo Motive's debut out in November

Eclipse Music is very excited to announce that the fantastic group Slo Motive has joined our ranks for a debut CD release in November.

Slo Motive is Sanni Orasmaa on vocals, Kari Ikonen on keyboards and Mamba Assefa on drums. Their music is an etherial mix of atmospheric vocals, jazzy keyboard harmonics and laid-back drum grooves.

Their debut album will be out on November 2nd 2012 and the new release will be celebrated with a launch concert at the Tampere Jazz Happening.

Elifantree plays FLOW festival

Elifantree has been booked to play at Helsinki's hugely popular Flow festival on August 10th. This is the second major Finnish festival for the group this summer. On July 21st they are playing at one of the most famous music festivals in the country, The 47th International Pori Jazz Festival.

Elifantree's show at FLOW starts at 6 PM (August 10th) at Tiivistämö.
